Be green. Period

This is our last blog post, and we want to leave you with our final thoughts.

At the start of our campaign we sent out a survey, which has informed all of our decisions throughout our campaign. Most of the people who replied said they would use a cup if they had more information - and we hope we've given you that throughout our blog posts and on our social media platforms! The responses to the survey also highlighted the fact that people had many questions concerning menstrual cups, and we have aimed to answer all of these and make cups seem less scary, but if you have any questions then feel free to come along to our event and speak to any member of the team.

How you can get involved:

Pledge A) Try a menstrual cup

It can be hard to know which cup to buy with so many on the market, but to make your choice a little easier, we have made a table that looks at different factors for 6 leading brands, so whatever your priority is we hope we've made it easier to decide. However, we will have demos for each cup brand at our pledge day, so come and check them out and if you pledge on the day you have a chance of winning a cup!

Pledge B) Donate a cup

There are many organisations around who offer sustainable sanitary products and education to menstruating humans but we have focused on three. All of these organisations offer people the ability to donate a cup to menstruating humans in need. Check out the options below:

  • Ruby Cup - The Ruby Cup donate a cup with every purchase of a personal cup. But if you aren't a menstruating human then they have a donation option, it costs £10, and Ruby Cup states it will "give a girl in need a healthy, safe and long term menstrual health solution that will allow her to go to school every day of the month".

  • The Cup - The Cup is an organisation which offer education to menstruating humans, and have many options for donating cups, ranging from $20.00 to $4,000.

  • The Cup Effect - is a charity who believes in raising awareness about menstrual cups and making them more widely available , you can make a donation of any amount you like.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, but if you can't attend our event in person then you can still be involved by signing our online pledge!
